AB  - The aim of this paper is to underline the evolutionary trends of contemporary city speech; it especially focuses on expressions connected with code-switching and code-mixing that are, among other things, related to the language contacts and language varieties. The paper is based on authentic material, namely on recordings collected during the Urban Voices Project.
