AB The paper presents the results of the research which explores the diachronic development of possessive adjectives in Old and Middle Czech. The research deals primarily with possessive adjectives formed from feminine nouns (constituent type matcin) and is mainly focused on the morphological aspects. On the basis of the excerpted material, the author observes the cases in which possessive adjectives of the type matcin have been preserved and also pays attention to the competition of the nominal and composite (adjectival) forms in each case. The possessive adjectives are shortly commented at the syntactic level as well.
