Lukáš Zábranský

Bohemica Olomucensia 2013, 5(2):113-127 | DOI: 10.5507/bo.2013.012

Within the individual domains the author takes into account etymology, anthropology and historical sociolinguistics.

Ke vztahu jazyka, mluvy a hudby

On the relations among the language, speech and music

Oldřich Uličný

Bohemica Olomucensia 2013, 5(2):128-138 | DOI: 10.5507/bo.2013.013

Using methods of functional and structural analysis the author observes that sound units and their systemic relations are the core of analogy among language, speech and music. Structure of sound unit is analogical or parallel in details only - because music is communicative mean with the esthetic value but language primary not. Language is parallel to music secondary only, approaching music in poetry and singing.

Josef Švejk v situaci moderního románu

Tomáš Kubíček

Bohemica Olomucensia 2013, 5(2):139-144 | DOI: 10.5507/bo.2013.014

The paper deals with Hašek's text as the ingenious game with paradoxes. Paradox is reflected here as the compositional and thematical strategy in its formal and ideological aspects. The author describes the Hašek's fictional world not as absurd, but only as world denying the logics that approaches the man as the object only. Švejk as the person is a formulation of conviction that people can preserve their destiny in their own hands face to face with the ruthless mechanism of history.

Bohemica Olomucensia 2013, 5(2):145-158 | DOI: 10.5507/bo.2013.015

G. Masarykem played another, very special role - the book influenced the birth and character of Čapek's crucial prose, so called "noetic trilogy". This fact fundamentally strenghten the position of the book Hovory s T. G. Masarykem in the context of Čapek's work.
